Quintessential Fact Sheet
Highlights of a stay at Belmond Copacabana Palace
The ultimate luxury experience
Relive the glamour of Rio’s golden years at the most iconic hotel along the Copacabana Beach. Built in 1923 and inspired by the Negresco in Nice and the Carlton in Cannes, the Copa, as it is so affectionately called, is the perfect place to don an evening gown for a Carnaval gala or to forget about time while wading in the emblematic pool on the ground floor.
Try the recipes personally prepared and served by chef Nicola Finamore in the kitchen of the Cipriani Restaurant. A series of unlimited courses are tailored to every customer’s likes, and a maximum of six people per night are given the honor of sitting at this special table, which is strategically positioned right at the heart of the restaurant’s flurry of activity.
A unique detail
In contrast to the classical overtones of the hotel, the spa and bar are distinctly contemporary. Enjoy caviar appetizers and a drink of premium vodka and limoncello in the Copa Bar, designed by South African architect Graham Viney, as you admire the overhead illumination – the 10,000 small fiber-optic lights positioned to perfectly replicate the starry sky as seen from Rio de Janeiro.
An unforgettable moment
Unite the experience of staying at one of Rio’s postcard-perfect hotels with a view of one of the city’s other great icons. Private tours take guests to Sugarloaf Mountain and the Corcovado, both with incredible views of the city.
