Quintessential Fact Sheet

Highlights of a stay at Belmond Hotel das Cataratas

The ultimate luxury experience

Experience the most famous waterfalls in the world as yours and yours alone, just steps from your room and outside visiting hours. Guests who stay at the only hotel located within the Iguaçu National Park are invited to explore the premises early in the morning or in the late afternoon from the empty look-out points, like the famous Garganta do Diabo (Devil’s Neck) Lookout, that are so sought after during park hours.

Gourmet dining

Take lunch with a view of the falls from the terrace of the Itaipu Restaurant. Later, dine poolside at a splendid gaucho-style barbeque, delighting in the famous meats of South America at the Ipê Grill.

A unique detail

Although they look to be restored antiques, the beautiful tiles in the bathroom were especially designed for the extensive restoration that, in 2010, reintroduced elegance and splendor to measure up with the hotel’s fabulous location.

An unforgettable moment

The best way to view the falls in all their glory is to take a helicopter tour of the Iguaçu National Park. This is the only practical way to truly grasp the elaborate geography that includes 275 waterfalls over nearly five kilometers (3 miles) of a colossal canyon surrounded by an immense area of preserved Atlantic Forest.
