Founded over 40 years ago by an environmentalist passionate about the Pantanal, Caiman is a 53,000-hectare oasis whose mission is to conserve the biome's fauna, flora, and culture. A century-old family farm, it introduced a pioneering model in the region, where ecological tourism, knowledge generation, and livestock farming coexist in harmony.

With more than 15,000 hectares transformed into reserves, Caiman is a sanctuary dedicated to biodiversity, which also serves as a base for conservation initiatives.

Between excursions in search of Pantanal wildlife, Caiman offers maximum comfort and a cozy atmosphere for travelers to enjoy moments of rest and contemplation of nature.

Overlooking a bay and surrounded by greenery, Casa Caiman is the main lodge on the property. It has 18 suites with balconies, a delightful swimming pool, a deck immersed in nature, a restaurant, a living room, a bar, a sauna, and a gym.

Caiman also has two private villas in magical settings on the farm, which can be booked by small groups seeking more privacy.

Gastronomy

Meals at Caiman are inspired by Brazilian homemade cooking and feature typical recipes from the country’s different regions, including classics from the Pantanal cuisine – in addition to international cuisine options.

Experiences

Caiman offers a range of experiences in search of the region's wildlife and its most beautiful scenery. From safaris and forest trails to canoe trips through a scenic bay and nighttime wildlife viewing, the activities are accompanied by bilingual guides, most of whom are biologists, and field guides, who are natives and true experts on the region.
